What standard need is one doing the FMEA for — 6 sigma,
RCM, RCA, other?

Start with reasonable and defined functions. (examples are
not a good plave to start)

Functions:
1. compress gas to 1500psi
2. allow expansion @X bar
3. radiate/ transfer heat degrees per __
4. contain gas 1200 to 2000psi

Failures:
1A. no compression
1B. not enough compression
1C. too much compression
EFM (mode + cause)
1A1. compressor failed due to ___
1A2. line ruptured due to ___
1A3. no gas due to ___
