Is it global warming or “global less cooling”?

With all the debate about rising average temperatures and their possible link to CO emissions it has been noted that much of the observed warming has been coming from rising minimum temperatures rather than any change in average high temperatures. In fact, in some areas, summer maximum temperatures are declining but winter minimum temperatures are sharply rising. These effects could easily be induced by changes in aerosols in the atmosphere or cloud cover due to air pollution from natural or human sources.
